Polypol-Decor is a two-component material consisting of a base material of epoxy and amine hardener.
The materials are designed to create protective and decorative coatings of concrete and metal surfaces inside and outside the premises.
For the arrangement of self-leveling floors at the following facilities:
The coating is monolithic, protects concrete and metal surfaces from corrosion, and also improves operating conditions in production shops and premises for various purposes. The absence of seams and grooves and the high density of the coating make it indispensable for protection against toxic substances, and also greatly facilitates cleaning and sanitation, which is especially important for food and chemical industries.
Surface preparation:
The metal surface is cleaned to St2 or Sa 2.5 according to ISO 8501-1 and degreased.
concrete surface:
Applying a primer: apply a primer Polypol-Grunt according to the instructions for its use.
The drying time of the working mixture Polypol-Decor at a temperature of +20°C is 24 hours.
The temperature of the ambient air and surface should be within the range of +10°C to +30°C, but not less than 3°C above the "dew point", the relative humidity of the air should not exceed 80%. The temperature of the working mixture Polypol-Decor should be in the range from +15°С to +25°С.
Operation is permitted:
With high porosity of the base, but not earlier than after 24 hours, repeat the priming. When priming, avoid the formation of puddles of the working composition. Primer consumption is 0.1 - 0.4 kg / m 2 (depending on the porosity of the base).
Material preparation.
Polypol-Decor: the base (component C) is thoroughly mixed and the hardener (component D) is added in the amount of 18 wt. hours per 100 in. hours of the base, or according to the instructions in the passport and mix thoroughly again. The prepared working mixture is used within 40 minutes from the moment of preparation at a temperature up to +20°C.
During this time, it is necessary to have time to apply and level the material, and when applying a decorative layer, it is also necessary to process it with a spiked roller. At higher temperatures, the pot life of the prepared mixture decreases.
Surface spatula:
In the presence of cracks, potholes, shells in the concrete base, these defects are puttyed, avoiding sagging or unevenness on the floor surface.
Defects in the base with a depth of more than 5 mm are filled with putty prepared by mixing the Polypol-Decor working mixture with dry quartz sand with a fraction of 0.4 - 0.8 mm (5 parts of sand for 1 part of the working mixture). The consumption of prepared putty is about 1.8 kg/l of filling volume.
Base defects with a depth of less than 5 mm are filled with putty prepared by mixing the Polypol-Decor working mixture with Aerosil (for 20 parts of the working mixture 1 part of Aerosil). The consumption of prepared putty is about 0.1 - 0.5 kg/m 2 .
Putty the base no earlier than 24 hours after applying the primer. 24 hours after applying the putty, the puttied places are sanded and the entire surface is dedusted. If necessary, puttying is repeated.
Applying a decorative layer:
It is necessary to predetermine the filling configuration so that the perimeter of the filled grips throughout the entire filling period does not exceed the critical value. Namely: a fresh batch of self-leveling floor must be docked with the border of the previous batch no later than 40 minutes after the start of laying the previous batch, otherwise the transition between sections applied in different periods will be noticeable. In case of a break in work exceeding 40 minutes, the area to be poured must first be limited using masking tape. In this case, the transition between different sections will be more even. It is recommended to remove the masking tape no later than 8 hours after applying the bulk coating, otherwise it will be problematic later.
The prepared working mixture is applied in a strip up to 1 m by pouring and leveled over the surface using a squeegee and spatula. The thickness of the layer is regulated by a squeegee. After leveling (after 10 minutes, but no later than 30 minutes), the surface is carefully and evenly treated with a spiked roller to remove air bubbles from the coating.
Work is performed in special shoes on spikes (stupas).
Consumption for a thickness of 1 mm is 1.5 kg/m 2 .
The minimum consumption at which uniform application of the material is possible is 2.0 kg/m 2 .
At one time drawing a layer up to 3 mm thick is possible.
Store in closed warehouses in sealed containers at temperatures from -20°C to +35°C, protected from moisture and direct sunlight.
Warranty period of storage in the manufacturer's container - 12 months.
Storage beyond the date indicated on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer suitable. But if the shelf life is exceeded, it is necessary to check the properties of the product before use.
Metal drums up to 50 l and/or metal buckets up to 20 l.
