Leakinject uni 6816 e

Name
Leakinject uni 6816 e
Product description

PC® LEAKINJECT UNI 6816 E is a low viscosity, one component polyurethane injection resin for sealing cracks, large gaps or water leaks under high head or pressure. Reacts with water to form a semi-rigid foam.

Our products

Low viscosity, one component polyurethane resin for injection sealing of cracks, large gaps or water leaks under high head or pressure.
Fields of application

Waterproofing cracks and large gaps in walls, floors, concrete structures, underground structures.

It is used as a water trap for leaks or active water leaks under high pressure and / or high hydrostatic pressure.

PC® Leakinject UNI 6816 E requires contact with water to react.

Benefits
  • Reacts with water.
  • Forms a semi-rigid foam.
  • Penetrates deep into small cracks.
  • Does not shrink after curing.
  • Free expansion: minimum 1700% to 2200%.
  • Good chemical resistance.
  • Excellent adhesion to mineral building materials (concrete, cement, brick), metal and some plastics.
  • The reaction rate can be controlled by changing the amount of catalyst.
Application

PREPARATION

  • PC® Leakinject Uni 6816 E components are supplied ready to use.
  • The reaction time depends on the temperature of the material, the structure of the building structure and the possible amount of water present. Higher temperatures speed up the reaction time, and low temperatures slow it down.
  • Add the catalyst to the resin according to the desired reaction time and mix thoroughly.
  • Inject the mixture using a one-component pump (manual, electric, pneumatic).
  • Make sure the pump and equipment are clean and free from contamination from previous injection jobs.
  • Check the quality of the concrete, as injection involves pressure.

DRILL HOLES AND PACKERS

  • Determine the type and size of the packers depending on the type of pump, the thickness of the slabs, overlaps and the type of injection.
  • Make the crack visible down to the structural concrete so that the nature of the drilling can be determined.
  • If steel reinforcement is present, try to locate it and plan your drilling pattern so that the reinforcement is not pierced.
  • Drill holes at an angle of approximately 45° or less and in the direction of the crack. Make sure the hole crosses the crack.
  • The distance between the drilled holes depends on the width of the crack.
  • Install the packer in the drilled hole.

PUMPING POLYURETHANE RESIN

  • Prepare the pump to start the injection.
  • The injection pressure depends on the structure and size of the crack.
  • Start pumping at the lowest point of the fracture.
  • Continue pumping until resin flows out of adjacent packer(s). This is necessary to achieve an even distribution of the material.
  • Stop pumping, disconnect and move on to the next packer.
  • Continue the procedure until the crack is completely filled.

CLEANING

  • Clean the pump and equipment with PC® Ecoclean at every stop of more than 15 minutes, and also at the end of pumping work.
  • When cleaning agent comes out of the pipes, flush them with a sufficient amount of cleaning agent.
  • Use PC® PU cleaner to remove cured polyurethane residue.
Storage

Store in tightly closed original packaging at temperatures from +10°C to +30°C.

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from fire hazard areas and containers with strong oxidizers, alkalis and inorganic acids. Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.

Warranty period of storage in the manufacturer's container is 12 months.

Storage beyond the date indicated on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer suitable. But if the shelf life is exceeded, it is necessary to check the properties of the product before use.

Packaging

Component A:  Metal pails with a capacity of 25.0 kg;

Component B:  Canister with a capacity of 2.3 kg.

Safety information

Wear safety goggles, gloves and protective clothing. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact with eyes: rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with skin: rinse with plenty of water.

The B component of PC® Leakinject Uni 6816 E may react with water or atmospheric moisture to form CO2 gas. This may cause pressure to build up in a closed package or container that has already been opened.

Mix leftover PC® Leakinject Uni 6816 E with sand and dispose of this mixed material in accordance with local regulations.

For detailed instructions, please refer to the relevant product safety data sheet. It can be provided upon request.
