Our products
Liquid room-temperature curing agent for two-component RTV-2 organosilicon systems and SKTN silicone rubbers.
Fields of application
- Curing of silicone potting and sealing compounds.
- Curing of dielectric silicones for PCB potting.
- Polymerisation of organosilicon sealants, SKTN rubbers and special-purpose pastes.
Benefits
- Stable, uniform crosslinking throughout the casting volume.
- Cured compounds do not corrode steel, brass, aluminium alloys or silver coatings; they do not oxidise copper or tin at temperatures up to +150 °C.
- Does not impair the dielectric performance of electrical-insulating silicones.
- Supports stable system properties from −60 to +200 °C, with short-term exposure up to +250 °C.
Application methods
- Clean, degrease and fully dry the surfaces.
- Add 3–5 wt.% K-68 to the silicone base using accurate scales or a syringe.
- Mix vigorously for 3–5 minutes, scraping the bottom and walls of the container.
- Vacuum-degas if required, then dispense or pour.
Application
The recommended dosage depends on the compound grade and production batch. Increasing catalyst level shortens pot life.
Storage
Store in the tightly closed original container in a dry, cool area away from sunlight, heat and open flame.
Safety information
- Flammable material: use away from open flame with effective ventilation.
- Wear chemically resistant gloves and safety glasses.
- In case of skin contact, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water.
