Skip to content SE-55M is a solvent-free aqueous emulsion of polydimethylsiloxane with a wide range of applications: from the waterproofing and priming of various mineral bases to the addition to paints and varnishes.
Hydrophobic silicone emulsion SE-55M after application reacts chemically with the reaction groups of the treated material and forms a durable protective waterproof coating chemically bonded to the substrate.
When used as an additive in paint materials, SE-55M, as a rule, does not reduce the stability of paints during storage. This allows to use it as an additive to various water-based paints (acrylic, styrene-acrylic, latex), to improve the properties of the paint, the technology of its application and properties of the coating.

Individual tests should be provided to determine the optimum formulation of the end-product. The emulsion required amount determination depends on the end-product projected properties, the raw materials used, and other additives.
Water-repellent surface treatment:
Preparation of the surface: Remove flaking paint residues that are loosely bonded to the substrate, remove dust and other contaminants. It is recommended to clean the surface with high pressure washers, steam cleaner, water jet or mechanically. After wet cleaning, allow the surface to dry. It is allowed to apply the water-repellent SE-55M on a wet surface free of visible water.
Working solution preparation: dilute 1 liter of SE-55М in 5-10 liters of water, depending on the absorbency and type of the substrate.
It is recommended to prepare a one-off portion of water repellent in the amount not exceeding the consumption per one working day. Before use, it is recommended to perform a trial treatment on a small area of the surface or a particular element. Surfaces not intended for treatment should be protected from undesirable exposure to water-repellent agent.
Application method: by roller, brush or spray gun until full saturation of the surface.
The re-treatment is carried out on a still wet surface, that is, by the method "wet on wet". When applied, to prevent the appearance of stains, ensure a uniform and complete absorption of the hydrophobic liquid.
The consumption rate depends on the porosity of the material to be treated and the application method and can be about 0.2 to 0.5 l/m2 of the prepared working solution.
Work should be carried out in dry weather at a temperature of +5°C to +25°C. Drying time at a temperature of +20°C is no more than 24 hours, at a lower temperature the drying slows down and may take longer.
Store in original containers at temperature from +5°С to +30°С in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, protect from moisture and direct sunlight, away from heaters.
Guaranteed shelf life in manufacturer’s container - 6 months.
Storage over the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean the product is unusable. In case if store more please check the properties of product before use.
